FRIDAY: Rep. Frankel Announces Millions for Midtown Beach Renourishment

Boca Raton, FL – On Friday, July 6, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) and Mayor Gail Coniglio will announce $25 million for beach restoration at Midtown Beach.

Restoring the shoreline will help protect nearby habitats, homes, and businesses in Palm Beach. Between Hurricanes Matthew and Irma, Midtown lost over 500,000 cubic yards of sand.

The funds were included in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hurricane recovery plan. This is the first time that federal money will be used to support Midtown beach.
