The NATURAL WORLD Opening Reception changed to March 29th

Boca Raton, FL – The Artists of Palm Beach County, Inc. (APBC) invites everyone to the Opening Reception on Friday, March 29, 5 – 8 PM of “The Natural World ” (The opening was originally scheduled for March 22nd). The exhibition began on March 18 and runs through April 13, 2019 in the Art on Park Gallery located at 800 Park Avenue, Lake Park.
People find sustenance and solace, challenge and mystery in the natural world, and art has been a means by which humans express their awe of, communion with, dependence on, and isolation from nature. Artists in every medium from painting to photography to jewelry were asked to submit work which represented their relationship with or feelings about wildlife, plants, or landscapes.
Lupe Lawrence, a landscape painter and art teacher at the Center for Creative Education and the Progressive Afterschool Art Community Education program (PACE) at the Norton Museum as well as a Lake Park resident was the judge for awards. An awards presentation will take place on March 29th at 6:00 PM. Don’t miss this exhibit!
APBC is also happy to announce that coming in April the Art on Park Gallery will be holding its Annual Student Shows. In addition to providing an affordable venue for artists, and educational opportunities for the community, APBC also generates scholarship money. The organization uses these monies to award scholarships to local high schools students who show outstanding achievements in the visual arts. The public can see the student accomplishments beginning on April 15th through April 26th when Jupiter High School students’ work will be on display followed by work from Palm Beach Gardens High School students April 29th through May 10th. Opening Receptions will be held on Wednesdays, 5 – 8 PM on April 17th and May 1st.
Our Certificate of Solicitation allows us to pursue tax-deductible donations to generate scholarship monies. In December and January, APBC presented “ART by the Inch” in which the gallery sold artworks produced and donated by our members to raise funds for our scholarship program. This is a worthy cause and we are hoping for more donations, which people can provide by going to artistsofpalmbeachcounty.com or clicking on this link https://www.artistsofpalmbeachcounty.com/donations.
