Company’s philanthropic program “Lay It Forward” facilitated donation for 2,900 square feet of flooring to revitalize the organization’s community center hub
Boca Raton, FL – Lumber Liquidators Flooring Company (NYSE: LL), today announced a recent donation of 2,900 square feet of flooring to SOS Children’s Villages–Florida of Coconut Creek, Florida. The donation was made through the company’s philanthropic program, Lay It Forward.
SOS Children’s Villages, which is celebrating its 25th year, is a foster care neighborhood that includes 12 houses, which are home to up 75 boys and girls. The organization works to create a nurturing and vibrant environment with an array of services to help the youth overcome their past traumas and build a successful future.
Lumber Liquidators’ installation services team installed the Mystic Night Oak engineered vinyl plank to update the foster care village’s community center, which is used for a variety of youth activities and programs, including events, birthdays, yoga, pet therapy and more.
Our community center is truly the nucleus of our village and the new FRS for durable flooring gives a much-needed improvement to this vital and active space. Beyond giving the center a better look, the flooring donation has also provided a sense of pride for the kids and their environment, said Dawn Seay, Vice President of Development at SOS Children’s Villages–Florida.
