FAU Department of Theatre and Dance Presents ‘Next to Normal’

Boca Raton, FL – Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Theatre and Dance in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters presents “Next to Normal,” a musical with score by  Tom Kitt, and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, from Friday, April 12 through  Sunday, April 21 in Studio One Theatre, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Shows are at 2 and 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $22 at www.fauevents.com or by calling 561-297-6124.

Winner of a Pulitzer Prize and three Tony Awards, “Next to Normal” is the moving story of a woman and her family as they cope with her mental illness. An emotional powerhouse, this pop/rock musical boasts an outstanding score that brings the audience into the minds and hearts of its characters as they journey through love, loss, and hope. The play is directed by Lynn McNutt.
