People, pups to gather for tail-wagging good time at ‘DOGfest’

BOCA RATON – Tails will be wagging as canines and their humans live it up under the sun at the first ever DOGFest presented by the .

It will be held Sunday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JCC. Membership in the JCC is not required to participate in DOGFest.  Admission is $10 per car.

Activities and attractions include contests, demonstrations, children’s activities and craft projects, an un-leased play area, a dog wash, Q & A with canine experts, food, music and vendors.  A “doggie fun zone” and dog entertainment will be provided by American IDogs.

Activities for kids include a picture frame-making booth (includes a photo with your pup), “Paw Print Picasso” – a dog-painting booth (kids help their pups “paint” a masterpiece), a doggy wash, face painting, games and toy-making.

Please note that retractable leashes are not allowed. Canines must be current with their vaccines.

The event is sponsored by GBS the Beauty Store, Holistic Pet Cuisine, Walgreen’s, Dogasaur.com, Pet Supermarket, The Simon Family, and Mayor’s.
