Morikami Museum’s Lantern Festival:
In The Spirit Of Obon
Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 3-8pm*
Morikami Museum invites you to join them for Japanese folk-dancing, drumming, their Ennichi street fair and iconic lantern floating ceremony in a fall festival in the spirit of Obon – Japan’s summer homage to ancestors who return for a brief visit to the living.
- Experience an iconic lantern floating ceremony and firework display
- See traditional folk dancing and taiko drumming performances
- Enjoy the Ennichi Street Fair – vendors, games, activities and more
- Taste Japanese street fair food and drink
*Festival opens for members and the general public at 3pm, the museum and gardens will be closed prior to 3pm.
In an effort to protect our guests from unauthorized ticket sales, please note that pursuant to Florida Statute 817.36, tickets purchased for Lantern Festival cannot be resold for more than $1.00 over the original admission price.

$20 for ages 11+
$12 for ages 4-10
Free for ages 3 and under

General admission ticket sales start October 7, 2019 at 10AM.

- Tickets are non-refundable
- Group, student and senior discounts are not available for this event
- Lantern Festival is a rain or shine event
- Tickets are sent to the email address provided and must be printed and presented at festival admission the day of the event
- No tickets will be sold at the door
