Stewart Tauscher Obituary

Stewart Tauscher, died peacefully on May 7, 2015, at the age of 80.   Stewart was born on May 22, 1934 in Brooklyn, N.Y.  He graduated from New York University, and served in the Army from 1956-1958, where he was stationed in Germany.  Stewart was a driven professional with a successful career in Marketing and Direct Mail. His career started at Redbook Magazine, and then continued as the Direct Mail Manager of Mutual of America.  Stewart was always plugged into the news, as his day could not officially start without the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and whichever local newspaper could not live up to either the Times or the Journal.  Stewart was often outspoken, entertaining and engaging, and had a special way of frequently imparting words of wisdom to his sons and grandchildren – as well as anyone else he engaged in conversation.  Stewart married Arlene (Rosenberg), and they raised their family in northern New Jersey, first in Teaneck, and then settling in Upper Saddle River.  Stewart eventually retired in Boca Raton, F.L., where he later met and married Mary (Kelly).  He leaves behind his two beloved sons and daughter-in laws, Preston and Cathy Tauscher, and Brian and Linda Tauscher.  He took great pride in his 4 grandchildren Chase, Jackson, Bradley and Taylor. He is preceded in death by his son, Craig, and his parents Joseph and Frances.  He was surrounded by many great friends throughout his life. He will deeply be missed. Forever memories!  Funeral will be held at Cedar Park Cemetery, Emerson N.J. on Friday May 22, 2015 at 1:45pm, meeting at the Cemetery office and following to graveside for the service.
