Omni Middle School in Boca Raton Received a Threat Leading to Lockdown
A great deal of local news as of lately, has been associated with various school lockdowns due to significant threats.
According to the Boca Raton Police, a lockdown occurred today at Omni Middle School following a threat.
The school located at 5775 Jog Rd., Boca Raton was put on code red lockdown due to a possible weapons threat.
Reports had surfaced that there may be a weapon on campus, so every precaution was taken to ensure student safety.
This included no one leaving or entering any of the building in the school during lockdown, while still maintaining a normal school session.
As of this afternoon, the lockdown on Omni Middle has been lifted an officers state there is no threat to students and faculty.
