Seat D – Yaniv Alcalay

yaniv head shot 2 (1)Yaniv Alcalay, 40, is a 15-year resident of Boca Raton, living in the City of Boca Raton with his 2 children. Alcalay’s experience includes a broad background in finance and business management.   When he relocated to Palm Beach County from New York, Yaniv opened up a corporate office in Boca Raton.  Yaniv’s responsible for all aspects of the business from marketing, sales, focusing on obstacles to success, job creation, and business development, plus efficiencies and profitability.  Making Boca Raton the headquarters allowed his employees to enjoy the Boca Raton lifestyle.

Growing up in New York; Yaniv, the older brother of 3 boys was always involved in leadership positions and always wanted to help others.  He wanted to always see what he could do to fix any problems even in his neighborhood growing up in Long Island.

A strong believer in being active in the community, Yaniv has served his community from the day he moved to Boca Raton.  He was elected president of the Rotary Boca Raton Central, volunteers with Boca Raton Fire Explorers and was appointed Finance Chairman to the Boca Raton and Boynton Beach Boys Scouts Osceola District.  He is a supporter of  George Snow Scholarship Fund,  a Guest Lecturer at FAU on real estate finance and enjoys helping the elderly with the Senior Life Savers Program and at Mae Volen, through the Silver Surfers Computer Project and Food for the Needy programs.

Yaniv volunteers at Place of Hope, working for the needs of abused and neglected children.  Yaniv has a special Christmas story.  On Christmas morning, he picks up turkeys, food and flowers, and delivers door to door to the needy so that they may have a wonderful Christmas meal.

And through the many organizations that Yaniv participates, people kept asking Yaniv to run for the city council.

Yaniv  realized that the people were not happy with the slate that was running and that there was no one running that really cared about Boca Raton.  People were saying that the other candidate was someone who kept trying to run for office just to run.  It was time for Yaniv to step up to the plate and make the decision to be a candidate for Boca Raton City Council.  Proudly, Yaniv Alcalay is running for the people of Boca Raton, putting people first and politics second.

Yaniv Alcalay’s focus will be on making sure Boca Raton creates more jobs and on job training, lowering taxes, continuing the beautification of neighborhoods, parks, art culture and he will not take money from developers.  His main focus is on sensible and responsible development, and that of the needs of the community.

Yaniv recognizes the need for a fresh approach to being on the Boca Raton City Council, bringing  business experience and being actively involved in our community.
