Delray Medical Appoints Cheryl Wild Director of PBU

DELRAY BEACH–Delray Medical Center announces the appointment of Cheryl Wild as the hospital’s new Director of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, Wild will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cardiac telemetry/observation unit. She will also meet the diverse cardiac and pulmonary needs of the PCU to ensure service excellence to patients, nurses and staff.

Wild will still serve as the director of the Medical Oncology Department and Medical Surgical Services at Delray Medical Center. She will continue to oversee medical oncology and the oncology program, including the cancer committee. In these positions, she is responsible for managing the daily operations, budget and productivity within the department.

Before joining Delray Medical Center, she served nearly a decade as the manager of Oncology for Research and Data at a hospital in New Jersey. She led the team to exceed industry goals and benchmarks. Wild began her career as a registered nurse in the Surgical Open Heart Recovery Intensive Care Unit.

“We are proud to have Cheryl oversee the PCU at Delray Medical Center,” said Chief Executive Officer Mark Bryan.

Wild received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Trenton State College. She holds a Master in Business Administration with a Management Distinction from Trinity College and University.
