PBSO rules West Boca stabbing death a homicide

BOCA RATON – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office has ruled that the stabbing death of a man Monday, Aug. 6, in West Boca Raton was a homicide.

PBSO spokesman Deputy Eric Davis said Anastasio Caceres, 25, was stabbed in his lower torso and was taken to West Boca Medical Center by friends. He said the victim was later taken via ground transport to Delray Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by the medical staff at 2:47 a.m.

Davis said Caceres was stabbed during an altercation in the 22000 block of SW 54th Way. The other man involved was identified only as an unknown black male.

The PBSO spokesman said the investigation is open and ongoing.
