How to Find Out Who Called You

Use the advice in this article and never wonder who an unknown telephone number belongs to

We all get these random calls every once in a while that we don’t want to answer but would like to know who was calling. Or our phone books just gets so messy that it becomes hard to identify to whom a certain number belongs to. Fortunately, there are easy ways to find out who exactly was trying to contact you on the phone.

  1. Try the reverse phone number lookup.

The revere phone lookup allows you to enter a phone number and get someone’s personal details in return. You can use an online service like Nuwber to obtain a person’s first and last names, social media profiles, email and more. This is the most effective method as long as the number is listed in a phonebook.

  1. Google it.

This method is not as robust but it is still worth giving it a shot. Simply type the phone number in question into a search engine like Google and see the results. If the phone number you are trying to find has been featured on an indexed web page, you are most likely to get a positive result. Especially if the phone is corporate and appears on the company’s website.

  1. Check social media profiles.

Facebook, in particular, allows you to find profiles by entering a phone number in the search field. You will have luck with this method as long as the number in question was specified in the caller’s profile on their information page and their privacy settings allow it to be visible.

  1. Simply call back.

Of course, the most obvious way is to ring the caller back and ask them about their identity directly. This one will surely work but sometimes calling unknown people is a little uncomfortable, so you might want to explore the other options mentioned in this article first.
