City of Boynton Beach Earth Day Celebration

Boca Raton, FL – The City of Boynton Beach will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 6 from 11 am – 3 pm at Intracoastal Park (2240 N. Federal Highway).  The family-friendly celebration will include activities such as a native and fruit tree giveaway (to the first 100 families), recycled arts & crafts, and a kids yoga demonstration. Twenty-five eco-friendly and vendor organizations such as Avondale Pines Pottery, Hooks4Hope, Schoolhouse Children’s Museum, and the Boynton Beach Garden Club will be exhibiting. There will also be a special visit by Dr. Logger and “Bob” the Sea Turtle from Loggerhead Marine Life Center.  In addition, paddleboard and kayaks will be available for rent ($10 per half hour).

“In Boynton Beach, we like to think that Earth Day is every day. This event will provide a wonderful opportunity for all ages to learn more about sustainability,” stated Rebecca Harvey, Sustainability Coordinator.

Prior to the Earth Day Celebration, from 10 am – 11 am, the Boynton C.A.R.E.S. (Community Activities Rehabilitating the Ecosystem) environmental conservation organization will lead a cleanup at Intracoastal Park.
