POLICE_CAR_WITH_LIGHTS4_normal1Boca Raton, FL – On Thursday, January 2, at about 6:15 p.m., Boca Raton Police officers responded to a report of a robbery near 3900 North Federal Highway.

The 21 year old victim told officers that he was riding his skateboard westbound on NE Spanish River Boulevard at about 6:00 p.m. and had just crossed over the bridge when a young, thin black male jumped out of the bushes near NE 6th Drive and yelled, “Hey!” The suspect had his t-shirt covering his face and a pistol tucked into his waistband. The suspect pointed the gun at the victim, pushed him toward NE 6th Drive and told him, “If you don’t go back there, I’ll shoot you.” The victim complied and saw two more, young, thin black males with pistols running towards him from the apartment complex just east of him. The other two suspects also had their shirts covering their faces.

The suspects ordered the victim down to the ground and then pulled his backpack off of him and rifled through it. The suspects left the backpack and fled north on foot. The victim discovered his cell phone and about $21.00 in cash were missing. The victim was not injured.

If anyone has information about this crime, they are asked to call Detective Jeff Stepp at (561) 620-6196 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS.
