Locations, Telephone Number, and Hours

The Boca Raton Public Library has two locations to serve you. The Downtown Library is located at 400 NW 2nd Ave., and the Spanish River Library is located at 1501 NW Spanish River Blvd. The Library’s main telephone number is (561) 393-7852.

How to Get a Library Card

City of Boca Raton residents who wish to APPLY for or RENEW a Library Card must provide proof of residency or property ownership. A resident must provide a valid Florida Driver’s License or a valid Florida Identification Card with their name and a City of Boca Raton address. OR, a resident must provide two (2) documents: one document with their name and a City of Boca Raton address and a second document with a photo ID.

If you reside outside the City of Boca Raton, you may purchase an individual card for a non-refundable $150.00 annual fee, or a family card (immediate family only) for a non-refundable $250.00 annual fee.

Borrowing, Loan Periods and Fees/Fines

Your Library card may be used at both the Downtown and Spanish River Libraries, and you may return materials to either Library.

Please note the number of items you may borrow in the following categories:

  • 7-Day books: 8
  • Compact Discs: 16
  • DVDs: 16
  • Video Games: 16

You may borrow up to a maximum of 100 items. Library materials may be renewed up to three (3) times if there are no holds on the item.
