19-Year-Old Arrested After Posting Online Threat Towards Lake Worth High School

A short while back, intense police presence arrived at Lake Worth High School due to an anonymous threat.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect has recently been identified as Antonio Ruiz.

Antonio Ruiz is a 19-year-old Lake Worth High graduate, arrested on Monday evening as a result of written threats towards the school.

Ruiz’s charges include written threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting.

According to WPTV, arrest reports show that Ruiz posted an image of Lake Worth High School on Instagram with the caption, “Hope your book bags are bulletproof.”

Ruiz admitted to posting the threats but claimed he was only playing a prank on his friends.

Antonio Ruiz attended court on Tuesday where the judge ordered him to have no contact with any schools in Palm Beach County. He is also unable to use the internet and faces a $5,000 bond.
