Boca Raton Garden Club's 60th anniversary

Boca Raton, Fla.-The Boca Raton Garden Club will celebrate its 60th anniversary along with National Garden Week with an Open House on Saturday, June 8th from 1-4pm at its clubhouse – 4281 Northwest 3rd Avenue, Boca Raton.   There will be Refreshments, Raffles and Prizes.  Admission is free. A narrated tour through the club’s award winning gardens will begin at 2:30 pm

Established in 1953, the Boca Raton Garden Club has a long history of supporting the Boca community with scholarships and junior gardening programs for local students, Garden Therapy for senior citizens at FAU’s Memory and Wellness Center, Boca’s Community Garden, as well as Boy Scout Merit Badge projects.  Funds from Club events are also used to send students and counselors from Boca schools to Camp Wekiva each year.   Wekiva Youth Camp is a residential nature camp with the purpose of  instilling in our youth a love and respect for nature, as well as protection of the environment.
