Boca Veterinary Clinic to Sponsor Exhibit at Boca Raton Children’s Museum

Boca Raton, FL – The Boca Raton Children’s Museum is pleased to announce their recent partnership with the Boca Veterinary Clinic. The Clinic will have the exclusive naming rights to the veterinary exhibit at the Museum for one year. The veterinary exhibit helps children develop multiple skills including the power of empathy, by creating a realistic role-playing experience while caring for their beloved stuffed animals. Our little learners will have the opportunity to diagnose and treat their “pretend pet patients” in their own little clinic! Research shows that the power of play is a great way to develop oral language skills, cooperation, and social skills. As the children play and imagine, they will be developing skills that also support academic learning.

The Clinic will also host a free clinic at the Museum to educate the greater Boca Raton community’s children and families about the importance of pet care.

About Boca Veterinary Clinic

Under the direction of Medical Director Dr. Lesley Hack, the Boca Veterinary Clinic was established in 2010 to fulfill her dream of providing an excellent, sophisticated level of care to the pets of Boca
Raton, in a warm and caring environment. Dr. Hack graduated as a veterinarian in 1987 from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. After several years, she established and directed her own practice until she moved to Boca Raton in 2002. She served as Medical Director of Cypress Wood Animal Hospital until 2007, when she joined Calusa Veterinary Center. Over the past 30 years, she has developed a wealth of experience in managing complex medical and surgical cases. She believes that a pet is an integral part of a family, and enjoys establishing warm, friendly relationships with her patient’s human families. The Boca Veterinary Clinic offers superb patient care, delivered with compassion and understanding in a home-like environment by their highly-trained and extremely experienced staff. They are also deeply committed to animal rescue, as evidenced by their mascot, the rescue mastiff Goliath.
