Kaufman Lynn Construction was recently honored with three awards by the Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter. The awards highlighted their excellence in construction in three different locations.

The award-winning construction management company works both private and public sector projects in Florida and North Carolina. Meanwhile, the first step in working toward a job in construction management is to further your education by completing a degree in construction management. Established in 1989, Kaufman Lynn currently ranks among the top 400 General Contractors in the nation. Part of their huge success is made by utilizing the right customer management for construction software.

Past Kaufman Lynn projects include the FAU fitness and recreation center, for which they were honored with two awards in 2009-2010. Most notably, the organization was recognized for their restoration of Miami’s iconic Freedom Tower. Kaufman Lynn received honors from the Dade Heritage Trust and the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation.

Recently, the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast Chapter commended Kaufman Lynn for three sites in South Florida. Miami City Self Storage was recognized with an “Eagle Award,” the highest honor from the ABC. Other Kaufman locations honored were Paraiso at Fountain Square in Miami, and the Pompano Beach Pier Parking Garage. Both were “Pyramid Award” recipients.

“Once, again, we’re incredibly humbled to receive these awards from our industry peers at Associated Builder and Contractors,” said Michael Kaufman, president and CEO of Kaufman Lynn Construction. “These three very different projects all required substantial planning and creativity to complete. Each is a unique design accomplishment in its own right and stands as a testament to the excellence and commitment of the Kaufman Lynn Construction team and our design and construction partners.”

Located in downtown Miami, the Eagle Award winning Miami City Self Storage is a 111,068-square-foot storage facility. The building’s exterior features custom design elements to spruce up the typical dry nature of storage facilities. The high-rise steel structure serves as a new prototype for urban infill sites.

Paraiso at Fountain Square, a “Pyramid Award” winner, is a five-story apartment building in Miami. The $27.5 million, 175-unit Paraiso boasts four residential wings configured around a courtyard with a pool and other amenities.

Lastly,  Pompano Beach Pier Parking Garage also took home a Pyramid Award. The massive mixed-use structure is the first public parking garage in Pompano Beach. It represents the City’s investment in the development of the beach area. Defining features were included in the garage’s design to help the building stand out, revitalizing the area.

The Excellence in Construction awards program honors the most innovative and high-quality projects. Winning projects are selected from all along Florida’s east coast. The award commends builders, architects, engineers, and any other workers involved in construction.
