Boca Ballet Theatre Announces Guest Artists for the “A Princely Affair” Luncheon and Performance

Boca Ballet Theatre and the A Princely Affair Chairperson, Natalie Parker and Co-Chair, Gail Baker are thrilled to announce the fabulous guest artists for the luncheon and performance will be Brittany Pollack and Daniel Ulbricht, both from New York City Ballet.  They will be performing Balanchine’s festive and exciting Tarantella.

On Sunday, October 23rd at noon, Boca Ballet Theatres 25th annual A Princely Affair social event and fundraising luncheon kicks off the 2016-2017 Season of Dance in a festive and fashionable way, beginning with a mimosa social hour. New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Daniel Ulbricht has been a favorite guest artist at Boca Ballet Theatre and danced Golden Idol from La Bayadere at the 25th Anniversary Performance. New York City Ballet Soloist, Brittany Pollack will make her Boca Ballet Theatre debut. Sharing the stage will be the beautiful dancers from Boca Ballet Theatres Countess de Hoernle Center for Dance, and they will perform excerpts from The Nutcracker, presented by Marleen Forkas, in loving memory of Harold Forkas

Daniel Ulbricht was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and began his dance training at the age of 11 at the Judith Lee Johnson Studio of Dance, studying with Lenny Holmes. Mr. Ulbricht was invited by the School of American Ballet to continue his training. As a student at SAB, Mr. Ulbricht performed with New York City Ballet as a Jester in Peter Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty. In December 2000, he became an apprentice with New York City Ballet and in November 2001 he joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. In January 2005, Mr. Ulbricht was promoted to the rank of soloist and principal dancer in May 2007.

Brittany Pollack is from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. She attended summer courses at the School of American Ballet in 2001 and 2002, enrolling as a full-time student that fall. In June 2006, Ms. Pollack was asked to become an apprentice with New York City Ballet and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in February 2007. She was promoted to soloist in February 2013.
