I-95 To See Vehicle “Pacing” and Closures

Glades Rd.As a result of the Spanish River/I-95 Interchange Project, on Monday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 12 from 11pm – 5am, I-95’s mainline will undergo a vehicle “pacing” operation due to the relocation of the overhead powerlines by FPL. During this vehicle pacing period, Florida Highway Patrol will reduce vehicular speeds to about 5-10 mph.

The pacing operation extends from about Sample Road to Clint Moore Road and drivers should expect delays on the mainline and at the on-ramps during this operation.

Then, on Sunday, May 1st until Thursday May 5th, FDOT will be demolishing the old Spanish River Boulevard bridge over the expressway.

I-95 Southbound will undergo a full mainline closure nightly from midnight until 5AM.

The FDOT approved detour route is I-95 exit Yamato Road west to Military Trail south to Palmetto Park Road and east to the expressway.

Due to the volume of detour traffic, expect delays on these facilities during this operation; and

Furthermore, from Sunday, May 8th – Thursday, May 12th, I- 95 Northbound will undergo a full mainline closure, nightly, midnight until 5AM as FDOT will continue to demolish the old Spanish River Boulevard Bridge.

The FDOT approved detour route is I-95 exit Palmetto Park Road west to Military Trail north to Yamato Road and east to the expressway.
