Loggers Run Middle School Teacher Arrested For Sending Nudes To Underage Girl

A Loggers Run Middle School teacher was arrested for sending nude photos to an underage girl, The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says.

41-year-old Matthew Webster is at the Palm Beach County Jail facing charges of  transmitting of pornographic material harmful to a minor.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s officials say Webster was caught sending nudes of himself to a 14-year-old student from a smart phone.

Webster, who teaches culinary and home economics and coached the girls basketball team, is believed to have been sending pictures to a former student that we are told now attends a local high school.  No official details have been released on whom he may have been sexting.

The school principal Fran Goblin sent out the following message to parents:

Attention Parents,

As principal of Loggers’ Run Middle School, I am committed to keeping our families informed of situations that affect our campus.

Today, a teacher at our school was arrested. While the allegations against the teacher are being investigated, the teacher will not be returning to campus and will have no contact with any students.

At this time we do not have reason to believe that any of our students were affected.

While we do anticipate media coverage of the arrest, Loggers’ Run Middle School does not have any further details that we can provide.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to remain focused on our students’ safety and academic success.
