Train Hits Vehicle in Boca Raton; One Person Dead

A train hit a vehicle Monday morning in Boca Raton, killing a person at 200 North Dixie Hwy., according to local police.

The crash occurred just before 7 a.m.

The wreck is causing area road closures near 2nd Street.

Palmetto Park and Glades Road east and westbound are closed at Boca Raton Road.

Drivers should use NE 20th Ave., or Camino Real as alternate routes.

Officials said the earliest the area will be back open is noon.
