It was a rough night for the Bobcats of Boca High as they traveled to St. Andrew’s to face the Scots. Both teams were looking for a key win in the county and the Boca Raton region.

The Scots would have an easy win as they were led by Sophomore Anthony Polite. Polite had 14 points on 7 of 12 shooting, with a high field goal percentage of 58 percent. Three more Scots would have double digit nights. AJ Haeffner and Noah Ralby both shot 100 percent from the floor on 5-5 shooting. The Bobcats as a team had their worst offensive night this season. They only put up 38 points on 24 percent shooting while St. Andrew’s as a team shot 66 percent. Boca attempted 28 three pointers while only making 6 (21 percent).

Boca High was out of sync all night. They struggled to find a rhythm all night, putting up poor shots. Boca shot low percentage shots and their leading scorer was Casey Southards with 20 points. The rest of the team would struggle though as only five other players scored. Meanwhile, the entire St. Andrew’s team would score at least once.

St. Andrew’s would win the game 70-38. Boca fell to 2-1 after the first week of play. St. Andrew’s remained undefeated at 3-0 after beating Pope John Paul II the next game.
