Boca Raton Elementary Schools Move to Temporary Campus For a Rebuild

Due to recent overcrowding in Boca Raton elementary schools, Palm Beach County School District is looking to take on a new project to replace the outdated schools.

According to WPTV, the renovations are estimated to last around 2 years, with students moving to a temporary campus next to Don Estridge High Tech Middle School, located off Banyan Trail.

The temporary campus will be easily accessible to parents and students alike with one in and out point for them.

Principal of Verde Elementary, Seth Moldovan, states that students will have updated technology, outdoor space for gym and recess, and should fit 1,000 students.

Verde Elementary students will be the first to move into the temporary campus. The elementary school is being torn down and will be rebuilt into a new K-8 school, in hopes that the added 6th through 8th grades could help take some pressure off Boca and Omni Middle Schools.

Verde Elementary School students will be in the temporary location for this next school year as it is being rebuilt. Addison Mizner Elementary School will then be rebuilt in the 2020/21 school year. Finally, a brand new elementary school will be built at the temporary location.

Principal Moldovan is sure that the relocation will not negatively impact or distract students. He boasts about the school’s teachers and is certain that as long as they are standing in a classroom teaching, the students will do great.
