Mark Walton of The Miami Dolphins Receives Weapon-Related Probation

Mark Walton played college football at the University of Miami and was a 4th round draft pick for the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2018 NFL draft. At 22 years old, Walton signed with the Miami Dolphins earlier in the year.

According to WPTV, in March, Walton was pulled over in his rented vehicle when he began to flee on foot. Officers later discovered a rifle and marijuana in the vehicle.

The charges against Walton for marijuana possession and reckless driving were dismissed. However, Mark Walton has recently received six months of probation as a result of pleading “no contest” to a misdemeanor weapons charge.

Walton entered the plea on Monday and will also be looking at anger management and driving courses. Walton will also be required to give up his firearm.

Do you think these charges will impact his career with the Dolphins?
