Brazilian Business Group Host 2nd Annual Brazil-Florida Summit

The Brazilian Business Group (BBG), and Florida Atlantic University hosted the 2nd Annual Brazil-Florida Summit on November 14 at the FAU Alumni Center in Boca Raton.

City Councilperson, Robert Weinroth, as well as Mayor Susan Haynie were both in attendance representing the City of Boca Raton. Deputy Consul Rodrigo Fonseca – Consulate General of Brazil – Miami, was also present at the event representing the Consulate General of Brazil.

“We were very honored to have all these dignitaries come to the Brazil-Florida Summit,” said BBG President, Caroline Zimmerman. “We hope that the topics that were discussed here today will shed some more knowledge into the partnerships Brazil and Florida can have in the future.”

One of the most interesting parts of the event was the panel discussion on the vision of the Latin American presence and influence in South Florida for the next 10 years.

The summit also helped local Brazilian entrepreneurs get some insight into the workings of business in Florida with a great talk on insights about entrepreneurship, cultural, and academic exchange.

BBG is an independent, secular organization, founded in 2006 with the objective of uniting and strengthening the Brazilian business community in South Florida, especially Broward and southern Palm Beach counties, where a large part of the community is concentrated.

The group has a simple mission, to bring together Brazilian business people, within and outside of the United States, through a representative, active and competitive entrepreneurial organization engaged in sharing experiences and expanding business education and culture.
