Humberto Becomes a Hurricane and Brings High Seas and Rip Currents to Florida

Tropical storm Humberto has become a Hurricane as of last night, moving at 85 mph.

Florida is not in Hurricane Humberto’s path, as it is currently 710 miles west of Bermuda, it was moving 7 mph east-northeast.

This led to a high reach and swell, attracting many surfers to the southeast of Florida due to the high surf advisory.

However, the National Weather Service has recently announced a high risk of dangerous rip currents in effect for Palm Beach County up to north of Vero Beach.

According to the Palm Beach Post, South Florida will be experiencing a great deal of northwest winds on Tuesday as Humberto continues moving away.
