Make Any Look Pop with False Eyelashes

We’ve all been there. We put together a full beat, complete with a shimmering bronzer, a perfect contour, a dramatic split-crease, a luscious lip, and a bold brow. And then… mascara? Sometimes it just doesn’t do the trick. If the rest of your makeup look is perfect, but it still feels like something’s missing, it could be the lashes.

Outside of a full look, there are various reasons you may want to wear false lashes. The right pair of false eyelashes can make every look stand out.

Which Looks are Fake Eyelashes Necessary For?

In short, every look. Anything from a basic foundation, lipstick, and eyebrow routine to your edgiest, the most avant-garde look can benefit from a good pair of false lashes.

The key to making sure you have the best false lashes to go with your look to find the right pair. There are more styles, lengths, and sizes than you could even dream of, so you can be a little picky when it comes to the look and feel of your false lashes. McDaids Pharmacy has a good variety of makeup products to choose from.

Matching the Lash to the Look

Now that we know false lashes can make any look shine, which ones are right for which looks? Well, that mostly depends on your taste, but here are a few of our favorite pairings.

Lash Application

Once you’ve picked out your look and your lash, now what? If this is your first time working with false lashes, you probably have no idea how to get them on your eyes. Here’s a quick guide.

For Traditional Glue-On Lashes

If you’ve decided to go the traditional route, you’re going to need to glue the false eyelashes onto your lids. Some lashes come with glue already included, but if not, invest in a super strong lash extension glue

First, complete your eyeshadow and eyeliner look. False lashes should be applied as one of the last steps in your makeup routine, as it’s pretty difficult to do those makeup steps once the lashes are on.

Once you’re done there, use either the full lash strip, cut it in half, or use individual lashes that come in small pieces. Start by applying glue to the band of the lash itself, being careful not to get the glue on the lashes themselves. This is the tricky part since glue can get a bit messy.

Then, after the glue is a little bit dryer, carefully line up the band of the lash with the space on your eyelid just above your eyelash line. Hold them in place for a bit, allowing the glue to dry. Once that’s done, give the false lashes a curl and your look is complete!
