Two More Disturbances Appear as the End of Hurricane Season Approaches

Hurricane season officially comes to an end on November 30th but the National Hurricane Center is currently tracking two new disturbances in the Atlantic.

One of those systems is a non-tropical with low pressure, expected to develop in the middle of Bermuda and the Azores. This system may possibly develop into a tropical or subtropical depression by the middle of this week with a 50% chance.

The second system appearing in the Atlantic is another non-tropical low pressure system, predicted to develop over the western North Atlantic. The system is tracked to continue between Bermuda and the East Coast of the U.S. later this week. However, this system has a 30% chance of development over the course of this week.

According to Sun Sentinel, the tropical cyclone activity in September was abnormally high for the Atlantic basin. Seven named storms and three hurricanes demonstrate the extremely active month.
