Boca Raton Regional Hospital presents the second annual Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute (LCI) ‘Run for the Ribbons’ event. The 5k walk/run will start at the Harvey & Phyllis Sandler Pavilion, continue through Old Floresta and finish at the Sandler Pavilion. A one-mile walk/run course is also available, starting and ending at the Sandler Pavilion. The proceeds raised will help support LCI’s League of Ribbons, which was established to help improve the lives of cancer patients, their caregivers, families, as well as education for the community at large.
In keeping with the League of Ribbon’s mission and dedication to cancer patients, Run for the Ribbons is held each year on National Cancer Survivors Day, in honor of those who have been diagnosed with cancer, and to help those currently battling the disease. Many of the area’s cancer survivors attend and participate in the walk/run.
The event will take place at the Harvey & Phyllis Sandler Pavilion at 701 NW 13th Street Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 7:00 A.M.
