Tropical Storm Isaac – Sunday 8 AM update

Tropical Storm Isaac is a little strong on the Sunday morning, centered about 200 miles east-southeast of Key West, Florida.
Maximum sustained winds are 65 mph. Some additional strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Isacc i

s expected to be at or near hurricane strength when it reaches the Florida Keys.
The forecast track brings the center of Isaac to the Florida Keys later today or tonight, emerging into the southeast Gulf.
A Hurricane Warning continues for all of the Florida Keys and the west coast of Florida from Bonita Springs southward to Ocean Reef and Florida Bay, as well as Andros Islands. Preparations to protect life and property must be rushed to completion
A Hurricane Watch continues along the extreme southeast Florida coastline from Golden Beach to Ocean Reef, and has now been issued along the north Gulf coast from the mouth of the Mississippp River eastward to Indian Pass, Florida. It does not include metropolitan News Orleans.
It is important not to focus on the exact track of Isaac due to the uncertainties in the forecast, and the fact that this storm has a large area of tropical storm-force winds, extending outward up to 205 miles from the center.
