9th Annual Go Pink Luncheon rolls out pink carpet for Giuliana and Bill Rancic

BOCA RATON  — Hollywood celebrity couple Giuliana and Bill Rancic will be the keynote speakers at Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation’s 9th Annual Go Pink Luncheon on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 11am to 1:30pm at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The event raises funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer at the Hospital’s Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute.

Giuliana is an entertainment journalist and television personality. She is the anchor of E! News, co-star of the E! network’s hugely popular Fashion Police team and has been the red carpet commentator for major events from the Oscars and Grammy Awards to the Golden Globes.  She and her husband Bill were married in 2007 and are starring in the fifth season of Style Network’s reality series “Giuliana and Bill.”

Bill was the winner of the first season of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice.” He is a motivational and business speaker, Chicago real estate developer, author and television producer. He is a frequent guest commentator on the Today Show, The View, Rachael Ray and various CNBC programs.

Giuliana was undergoing invitro fertilization treatment in September 2011 when her doctor ordered a routine screening mammogram.  The mammogram detected early-stage breast cancer in the 37-year-old star, who had no family history of breast cancer and lived a healthy, active lifestyle. After a lumpectomy was performed, the couple was hit with more troubling news – cancerous cells were still present in her breast. Giuliana and Bill made the decision together that she would have a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.

Giuliana and Bill will relate their very personal journey with breast cancer at the 9th Annual Go Pink Luncheon.  Tickets are priced at $150 and will go on sale August 27th. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available. The Go Pink Luncheon is the signature event for Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation’s Go Pink Challenge, a community-based initiative to raise funds for breast cancer detection and diagnostic services provided by the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute. Patti Carpenter will again serve as the Luncheon Committee Chair.
