Boca Raton Regional Hospital Names Volunteer Of The Month

BOCA RATON, FL – April 18, 2012 – Boca Raton Regional Hospital today announced that Barbara Gideon has been named its Volunteer of the Month. Ms. Gideon joined the Debbie-Rand Memorial Service League (D-RMSL) in June 2004 and has earned over 5,650 hours of service. Her assignments have included various positions, with the most recent being working in the Chemotherapy Room at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute.

Ms. Gideon serves on the D-RMSL Board of Trustees as Treasurer and has been instrumental in bringing its financial management well into the 21st century. She also finds time to knit baby caps for newborns at Boca Regional.

Barbara has three children – her son, Thomas, lives in Maryland and her son, Darren, and daughter, Anne, live in Boca Raton.

The Volunteer of the Month award recognizes members of the Debbie-Rand Memorial Service League staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital who demonstrate outstanding compassion for patients and their families, donate numerous volunteer hours, and perform an exemplary job on a consistent basis.
