BOCA RATON – With help from a loss prevention officer, Boca Raton Police arrested two women with Brazilian IDs for allegedly stealing clothing, jewelry, watches and boxes of Godiva chocolates from the Macy’s at the Town Center at Boca Raton mall, a police report said.

The alleged thieves were identified as Helena Maria Sarlo Wilken, 41, and Janet Lirio, 52. They were booked and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.

A police report said a loss prevention officer noticed the two women in the men’s department where they allegedly took shirts and concealed them in their shopping bags. The officer said they continued through the store, taking the chocolates, jewelry and watches.

The report says he watched them on surveillance cameras, and noted they allegedly left the store without paying.
