[Boca Raton Florida] – Recent studies have suggested that migraines and venous insufficiency may be more closely related than previously thought. Venous insufficiency is a condition where veins within the body are not able to function properly which can lead to swelling and sometimes even skin changes. Unfortunately, this can happen to the main drainage vein of the brain, called the internal jugular vein. When this vein becomes compromised, a back log of fluid pressure occurs causing a disruption in the cranial hemodynamics (blood flow to and from the brain). Common symptoms of disturbances in
cranial hemodynamics include headaches and migraines, brain fog, dizziness, vertigo, and even tinnitus.

Venous insufficiency of the internal jugular vein can cause an increase in pressure within the head. This increased intracranial pressure has been linked to migraines. Migraines are severe headaches that can be accompanied by visual disturbances, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound.

While the link between migraines and venous insufficiency is still being studied, this research could lead to new treatments for migraines. By treating venous insufficiency, the patients may notice a reduction in the frequency and severity their of migraines. This approach, while utilizing EPIC Clinics is a game changer. At EPIC Clinics we carefully image and study the two bones (atlas and axis) that protect your brain stem and directly influence blood flow to and from the brain. We study those images with spinal engineering software that allows us to measure the misalignment of the upper cervical spine to the 100th of a degree, as well as analyze up to 23 different epigenetic asymmetries (how your bones have shaped and grown over the course of your life). This information is transferred into our soundwave instrument, which sends a single impulse to a targeted location, to painlessly and accurately correct the misalignments in order to reestablish proper blood flow to and from the brain.

There is no need for any twisting, cracking, or guessing.

Dr. Daniel Hulsey, a Doctor of Chiropractic at EPIC Clinics, commented on the technology, stating, “This approach combined with the technology is exciting because it is opening up new avenues for treating migraines, vertigo, sciatica, neck pain etc. We know that migraines can be debilitating and difficult to treat, so any new information we can gather is valuable.” If you’re experiencing pain and want to have immediate pain relief, then you may consider visiting professionals like movement 101 for expert services.

If you are experiencing migraines and have not found relief from traditional treatments, it may be worth getting evaluated at your nearest EPIC Clinics.
