Audiences are in for a cultural awakening as Lynn University presents a robust and diverse line-up of programs for its 2022–23 performing arts season. From symphonic masterpieces and classic concertos to Broadway favorites and Shakespeare’s most-treasured plays, “Live at Lynn, presented by Libby Dodson” features students from the Lynn Conservatory of Music andB.F.A. in drama program.

Join the 2022 Instrumental Collaborative Piano Studio as they showcase the “Preludes of Bach,” the first of two sets of preludes from Johann Sebastian Bach’s 300-year-old “The Well-Tempered Clavier.” The piece will be complemented by a trio of sonatas composed by contemporaries, including George Frederick Handel and Francois Couperin. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, alumnus Alfonso Hernandez (PPC 2017) will join student Carlos Fernando Jr. Medina Romero to perform music from six Guatemalan composers from the 20th and 21st centuries. In addition to solo performances, the pianists will join forces for “Guatemalan Watercolors,” a duo piano composition by Manuel Martinez-Sobral. Join the Lynn University Philharmonia as it embarks on its 2022–23 season featuring a repertoire that has become the standard for conservatory-level symphonic training. Under the musical direction of maestro Guillermo Figueroa, the orchestral students will perform “Blue Cathedral,” by Jennifer Higdon; “Death and Transfiguration (Tod und Verklärung), Op. 24,” by Richard Strauss; and “Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92,” by Ludwig van Beethoven.
