Halloween in Boca Raton

Boca Raton is a hip, modern city with plenty of activities on offer. With beautiful places to walk, shining sun, and contemporary galleries, it does not seem that old and creepy. So, when it comes to Halloween, you may not find it one of the spookiest places to spend your time. However, Boca Raton has a sinister side lurking just under the surface.

When the witching season comes calling, the city can get creepy if you know where to look. From events to activities at home, we discuss everything you can do in Boca Raton this Halloween.

Halloween At Home

Halloween is extremely popular in Boca Raton. There are numerous events taking place for all the family. The downside to this is that you miss the elaborate costumes of the local trick-or-treaters. Therefore, if you decide to stay at home, it can be just as much fun.

If you want to get social, then don’t be afraid to host your party. There are numerous local businesses in the Boca Raton area for catering who will welcome your business. Alternatively, you can go it alone, look up some spooky food and drinks to make online, and begin to hand out your invitations.

Another option, if you have the guts for it, is to stay home alone. Even those wanting a quiet Halloween can still get in on the macabre vibes. A movie night is a great idea, where you can indulge in your favorite slasher and B-movies.

If you are a fan of games, then there are a host of board games available to play with ghoulish themes. Those who like to spend their time online may consider checking out some horror-themed activities in online casinos. Even if you have never used these sites before, many have excellent welcome packages for those just starting out. You can win real money online casino style by playing games such as Curse of the Werewolf, Zombie Circus, and Dracula’s Castle. Many of these games will even let you try them out for free beforehand, so you can get used to the games before making a deposit. Just check the reviews for different sites and see which games they have before you sign up.

Halloween for Kids

Aside from the standard trick or treating, many events for children are taking place in the Boca Raton area. One great performance you could take the children to watch is the rendition of Young Frankenstein, running from October 21st through to October 30th at the Willow Theatre. This hilarious PG tale mixes the Mary Shelley novel with the Mel Brooks musical. You can even get discounts for group purchases.

If you want to keep the youngsters active, then consider the Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch Festival. Taking part at Mizener Park Amphitheatre, the event is filled with rides, mazes, food, and of course, huge pumpkins! You can follow it by heading downtown toward the Spanish River Library and catching the free Fall-Oween Spooktacular Show and Parade. The parade takes place after the show and is free to join in.

Halloween Events for Adults

For some great party fun, Boca Raton is a fantastic place to be. Numerous bars and clubs are holding Halloween costume parties, some ticketed and others that allow you to turn up on the day.

For those who love superheroes and villains, Batman’s rogue gallery will come to life at The Addison, as they hold their Gotham-themed night. You can dress up as the Joker, Harley Quinn, or even the Caped Crusader himself if it takes your fancy. Tickets cost $150 or $250 for VIP access and provide a three-course tableside dinner, champagne bottle service, and valet parking.

If you want to get retro, you can head down to Pompano Beach Cultural Center and “Slash Back to The Eighties”. Taking place on Saturday, October 22nd, the all-night party has costume contests with top prizes of $1000. With a host of DJs and awesome sponsors, it promises to be a frightful yet fun experience.
