Shop for Success Pop-Up Is Back at the Square to Benefit Dress for Success

Successful – joyful – shoppers at the 2021 Shop for Success Pop-Up Sale benefitting Dress for Success. The ’22 event is September 30-October 2, at The Square, West Palm Beach.

West Palm Beach, FL — Irresistible fashion bargains of up to 70% off can be found at the Shop for Success Pop-Up Sale, Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2. The popular weekend flash sale experience, which benefits Dress for Success Palm Beaches and its free job-readiness programs and services for women, is headed back to The Square in downtown West Palm Beach. The donated storefront, next door to Sloan’s and UNTUCKit, will be filled with couture and designer creations as well as everyday name brand labels. General public shopping hours are Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday, 12 noon until 5 p.m.

A $50 ticketed VIP Preview Reception on Thursday, September 29, 6-9 p.m., will kick off the opening of this retail ritual and is the perfect opportunity for diehard fashionistas to enjoy an advance shopping night, along with some bubbly and light bite refreshments. Registration is limited and available online only at https://bit.ly/S4SVIP22

Among the couture finds are a nearly new Armani dress for $50, a pre-owned St. John suit for $75, and barely worn Ferragamo shoes for $35. Designer names that resonate with shoppers include Eileen Fisher, Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer, Tahari, and Theory, to name a few, with items priced no higher than $25. Shoppers may also want to check out overstock donations from hometown players such as S by Serena and Michelle Farmer. Notable, too, are several distinctive creations from the runway collection by Michael Kors. As for popular everyday brands like Banana Republic, White House Black Market and Talbot’s, the prices are unbeatable:  $10 for dresses and handbags, $5 for tops, pants, and skirts, plus shoes BOGO, $10. In addition to clothing in sizes petite to plus, an array of accessories including jewelry, belts, and scarves will be available.

“Closet cleaning during the pandemic has brought a windfall of amazing castoffs to our doorstep,” said Rhonda Russell, Shop for Success volunteer co-chair. “Some items are gently worn, some still have original price tags. All were generously donated to Dress for Success but don’t quite fit our criteria for the workplace attire that we dress our job-seeking clients in at no cost,” she explained.

A squad of nearly 100 volunteers will staff the sale from the opening event through its closing. And, with the generosity of Related Companies donating the venue at The Square, and Good Greek Moving & Storage transporting the merchandise pro bono, DFSPB is hoping to match, if not surpass, past years’ goals in raising 25% of its annual job-readiness programming funds.
