Cindy Krebsbach and Jonathan

Boca Raton, FL – The elegant Prime Cut at Boca West Country Club was the setting when members and friends of Impact 100 Palm Beach County gathered for a Cocktails & Conversations reception on November 18, hosted by Impact members Sharon DiPietro and Edith Stein. The event welcomed women in southern Palm Beach County interested in joining the organization and making a huge impact on nonprofit organizations in the community.

More than 50 women enjoyed an evening of cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, a sushi bar and a special guest appearance by renowned pianist and vocalist, Chris Autore – all celebrating the power and reward of giving.

Kathy Adkins, President of Impact 100 Palm Beach County, welcomed guests and encouraged prospective members to join the powerful organization with a mission to engage, develop and inspire women to affect positive change through high-impact grant making in southern Palm Beach County.

“Our organization was founded in 2011 with the goal of becoming a dynamic leader in women’s philanthropy through high-impact grants awarded to non-profits, dedicated to improving lives and communities in south Palm Beach County,” noted Adkins. “Last year, we received our 501c3 non-profit status and are currently the second largest Impact 100 chapter in the world – Impact 100 Palm Beach County is a major grant funder is our area and we are so very proud of that.”

Adkins then introduced 2016 grant recipient Jonathan Price, Vice President, Grants & Fund Development of Alzheimer’s Community Care.

“Because of Impact 100 we were able to provide education and clinical experiences for future nurses and promote a family-centered model of care that revolutionizes the manner in which families living with Alzheimer’s disease experience care,” said Price. “We have well-known organizations asking us to bring our programs to them and one day, we’re hoping to take that specialized training across the nation and that is the impact of receiving grant money from Impact 100.”

Impact 100 Palm Beach County is a women’s 501c3 nonprofit organization funding local nonprofit initiatives. It is comprised of a growing number of women who donate $1,000 annually, pool all funds and vote to award multiple $100,000 grants to nonprofits serving southern Palm Beach County in five focus areas: Arts, Culture and Historic Preservation; Education; Environment and Animal Welfare; Family; and Health and Wellness. Since its inception, Impact 100 Palm Beach County has awarded more than $3.3 million in grants.

“The beauty of this organization is that women can make a tremendous impact in their own backyard – simply by attending one meeting and casting one vote – or by devoting as much time as they like and meeting new friends and neighbors in their own community,” continued Adkins. “As we enter our 10th year of grants in Palm Beach County next year, we are incredibly proud of the good our members are doing right here at home!”

The deadline for membership is March 31, 2020. For more information about Impact 100 Palm Beach County or to join this chapter, please visit www.impact100pbc.org or call 561.336.4623.
