Boca’s Holiday Street Parade Will Cause Downtown Detours on December 11th

Get in the holiday spirit by joining the City of Boca Raton at the 49th Holiday Street Parade themed”Out Of This World!”Here are some tips to #KnowBeforeYouGo.

* Please note: Federal Highway will be closed to vehicular traffic from Glades Road going south to Camino Real starting at 5pm to approximately 11pm.
What to expect?:
  • 49th Holiday Street Parade featuring 80+ floats
  • Date – Wednesday, December 11
  • Time – 7:30pm – 9pm
  • Location – Parade route begins at Federal Highway & SE 5th Street, traveling north to Mizner Park Amphitheater
  • Weather – The parade continues through rain or shine
  • The staging area for the parade is from Camino Real to SE 5th Street on Federal Highway in the northbound and southbound lanes. If you are NOT participating in the parade, please avoid this area.
  • *Note: All spectators must be NORTH of 5th Street and are only allowed to watch the parade from the sidewalks and medians. Spectators will be asked to move if they are in the street where the processional will be traveling.
  • Food vendors will be available in front of the Historical Society and Museum (71 N Federal Highway).
  • Restrooms are located on Federal Highway and 6th Street adjacent to the viewing stands at Sanborn Square (72 N Federal Highway).

  • Run the Holiday Mile – Before the parade, run a fun holiday mile down Federal Highway. For more information, please call Runners Edge at 561-361-1950.
How to get there and where to park:
  • FREE Available parking –
  • City Hall (201 W Palmetto Park Road)
  • Building Administration (200 NW 2nd Avenue)
  • Downtown Public Library (400 NW 2nd Avenue)
  • Bicyclists – Bike racks are available in front of City Hall. Be sure to wear reflective clothing and add reflective material to your bike for safety.
  • See Tracks? Think Train – For those walking to and from the parade, look and listen before crossing any train tracks.
  • Charge while you watch – An electric car charging station is available at City Hall and Downtown Library.
  • Plan ahead – Whether you are utilizing a shared ride program or driving your car to the parade, leave early and plan ahead in order to arrive to the event safe and on time.
