Newly Proposed Virgin Trains Station in Boca Raton will be Discussed Next Week

The newly proposed Virgin Trains station in Boca Raton has been a very popular topic of discussion within the past couple of months.

Boca Raton residents have been tuning in to find out more details and information and as it turns out, we could be hearing more very soon.

In the past couple of weeks, WPTV reported that Virgin Trains has been working closely with Boca city staff to establish a proper ordinance.

They managed to draft an ordinance containing a new lease for the train station and parking garage but further information will be discussed at the council meeting this Tuesday.

As many have previously reported, Virgin Trains will be paying for the new train station but the city of Boca Raton will be responsible for funding the garage cost of $12.1 million.

The new parking garage will consist of four stories with 468 spaces, some being reserve for the public library.

The council workshop discussion on Tuesday and Wednesday will take into account the economic impact and the community garden along with the new ordinance.
