Mark Walton From the Miami Dolphins Released Due to Battery on Pregnant Woman

Mark Walton was raised to Miami’s starting running back but only managed to start four games before being disciplined for violating the NFL’s code of conduct surrounding substance abuse.

Now it looks like Walton is under fire yet again and this time the Miami Dolphins have officially released him from the team.

Mark Walton was arrested by Davie police at 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday. He was charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant woman seen as a second-degree felony with the possibility of 15 years in prison.

Police report Walton pushed a woman against a wall and punched her in the face several times resulting in intense head and face swelling.

The woman he punched turned out to be five weeks pregnant with Walton’s child and had just informed Walton of the pregnancy two days prior.

Walton remains in jail until his preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Broward County Courthouse.
