Florida Deputy Arrested for Slamming Female Student to the Ground

On Tuesday, Deputy Willard Miller was charged with a felony for child abuse after video footage showed him using excessive force, slamming a female student to the ground.

Deputy Miller worked at a school for children with emotional problems in Fort Lauderdale, which is where this incident occurred.

Video footage shows the student tapping the Deputy on the back of his knee, causing his knee to buckle.

Deputy Miller seemed shocked when this occurs and is shown speaking to the girl after this happens.

The female student was 15-years-old when she was suddenly grabbed by the throat and tossed to the ground by Deputy Miller. Miller then proceeded to toss her out of the room with excessive force.

Sheriff Gregory Tony also suspended Deputy Miller without pay.
