Publix Super Markets to Distribute $500,000 Value of School Supplies to 120 Palm Beach County High-Need Schools

Boca Raton, FL – Publix Super Markets, The School District of Palm Beach County, and United Way of Palm Beach County

A team of 70 Publix volunteers will distribute three tractor trailers full of school supplies to about 120 local high-need schools. The school supplies were donated through Publix’s Tools 4 Schools campaign and will enable Palm Beach County Title I schools to have enough supplies for teachers and students throughout the remainder of the school year.

Where: Riviera Beach Preparatory and Achievement Academy (7071 Garden Rd., Riviera Beach, FL 33404)

When:  Saturday, October 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

*The best time for visuals will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Publix, United Way and School District leadership will be on-site and available for interviews.

Visuals will include Publix volunteers packing Title I principals’ and teachers’ cars and trucks with cases of a variety of school supplies.

Why: To ensure that every student in our community has the tools they need to succeed in school!
