Florida Could be Implementing Bible Study in Public High Schools

As of recently, Florida has been learning a lot about the new bill proposals surfacing for the new year.

One of the newly proposed bills in Florida focuses on the implementation of religious courses in public high schools grades 9-12.

The bill proposal is titled, “Study of the Bible and Religion” and focuses on the Florida public school district including religious study courses as electives in high school.

The bill is not limited to just one religion, but states that school districts would be required to offer specific courses relating to religions such as Hebrew Scriptures and the Bible.

Although the fate of this bill is still undecided, if approved it would go into effect for the following school year of 2020.
