Palm Beach County Schools Will Reopen Following Hurricane Dorian

Due to Hurricane Dorian, surrounding Florida counties saw various school closures in order to ensure student safety.

As Dorian moves away from Florida, the following is a list from WPTV of local Palm Beach County schools that have announced their reopening:

  • Boca Raton Christian School resumes classes on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
  • Spanish River Christian School will resume Thursday, Sept. 5
  • Atlantic Christian Academy in West Palm Beach will open on Thursday, September 5.
  • FAU and PBSC classes will resume Thursday, Sept. 5.

The following are announcements of school closings that have yet to ensure a resuming date:

  • American Heritage in Delray (all grades) closed on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
  • All Lynn University classes and activities are canceled for Tuesday, Sept. 3.
  • Berean Christian School in West Palm Beach will be closed on Tuesday, September 3rd and Wednesday, Sept. 4.
  • Planet Kids at Wellington will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 3.
  • Wellington Preparatory School will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
  • Unity School in Delray Beach will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Make sure to visit your schools website and stay on top of the updates to ensure you are properly informed on the start date of classes that are yet to be announced.
