Jerry Could Become a Hurricane by The End of This Week

The National Hurricane Center has been tracking several storm systems within the past couple weeks as we move further into Hurricane season.

The tenth named storm of this year’s hurricane season, Jerry, has formed today in the Atlantic Ocean.

Although it is too early to determine its path, Jerry is possibly forecasted to travel north of Puerto Rico at tropical storm winds on Friday, then moving into hurricane strength.

The forecast cone also demonstrates the storm turning north before the Bahamas.

As of this Wednesday morning, Jerry was seen 960 miles east of the Caribbean with max winds of 45 mph and moving west-northwest at 13 mph, according to Sun Sentinel.

The National Hurricane Center emphasizes the uncertainty of Jerry’s path as it is still just lingering in the Atlantic.
