Flamingo Comedy Festival is coming to Boca Raton

Benjamin Leis and his brother are coming to Boca Raton to host a week-long of Flamingo Comedy Festival. Many of the shows are free to watch. Some of the main comedians that will be entertaining the crowds are Dana Eagle and Dave Barry. There is altogether different fun, when you watch the show and when you play games online by applying the WSOP Promo Code. Every day will have a different programme, for example, on Monday, Richy Leis will be giving a lesson in the comedy class at Flamingo House. On Tuesday, Wilma MacAwesome will be hosting the Trivia Challenge. Flamingo Comedy Festival will be held for a week from Oct. 18 – Oct. 25.

 Richy Leis

 Time: 7 p.m. Oct. 21

Introduction to Standup Comedy Class

 Richy Leis is a recognized comedy producer in Los Angeles. He has worked with a lot of top artists including Dana Carvey and Whitney Cummings. He will be hosting the Introduction to Standup Comedy Class. He will be teaching about some basics and giving an introduction to standup comedy. He has more than 18 years of experiences in the comedy field.

 Dana Eagle

 Time: 8 pm. Oct. 19

Venue: Faulk Center for Counseling, 22455 Boca Bio Road

In an Interview with Katherine Murphy on her latest book

 Dana Eagle specializes in telling dark jokes. She is the author of the book titled How to Be Depressed: A Guide. Her book provides advice for people who are suffering from depression. Besides, she has also appeared on the episode Last Comic Standing in The Late Late Show broadcast by NBC. Other shows she has appeared in are Comedy Central and Comics Unleashed.

 Dana Eagle will show up at the comedy festival two times. The first time she will show up is on Friday night to talk about her book. The second appearance will be on Saturday night to compete for Florida’s Funniest Female 2019. She will be competing with 16 local comics for the award. These comics are from the area in between Key West and Jacksonville. It is free to attend the event if you register with them.

 

Phil Hanley

 Time: 8 pm. Oct. 25

Venue: Boca Raton Innovation Campus, 5000 T-Rex Ave.

United We Stand up Starring Phil Hanley

 Phil Hanley, who specializes in deprecating jokes will be hosting an evening comedy session that features the veterans of Armed Forces. There will be 5 comics featuring in Hanley’s set and all of them have experiences serving in the US navy. The proceeds from the show will be donated to the local veterans and other disability organizations. Hanley has appeared before in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Recently, he has also launched a new album titled Please Don’t Chit-Chat While I’m Pursuing My Dream.

 

Hanley was born in Vancouver. He frequently gives comedy sessions at the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Other shows Hanley has appeared are Late Night with Seth Meyers and John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show. If you buy the ticket in advance, you will get a discount. The ticket price will increase by $10 if you buy it on the day of the event.

 Dave Barry

Time: Oct. 20 3 PM

Venue: Boca Raton Public Library, 400 N. W. Second Ave.

 Dave Barry is a columnist for the Miami Herald. He has won a lot of awards for the humor he has published. Barry will be discussing two of his new books at the Downtown Boca Raton Public Library. His two books are A Field Guide to the Jewish People and Lessons From Lucy. The admission for the event is free. Unfortunately, no more seat is left. However, they will be uploading it to YouTube where you can watch at home.

 

Open Mic with Mike Cintron

 Time: 8:30 pm Oct. 23

Venue: Mad Robot Brewing Company, 2621 N. Federal Highway, Suite Y

 This event allows any artist to show off their talents. All kinds of artists can sign up for the event including singers, musicians, and comedians. They will determine the order of talent through bucket drawing. The admission fee is $3 or you can bring two canned food for donating to Boca Helping Hands.

 Wilma McAwesome

 Time: 8 pm Oct. 22

Venue: Dubliner, 435 Plaza Real

Trivia Challenge

 Lots of witty questions can be expected at Trivia Challenge. Wilma McAwesome has been hosting the Dubliner Trivia Challenge show for more than 12 years. It is free to play Trivia Challenge.

 The Amazing Mr Awesome

Time: 3:30 pm Oct. 19

Not So Scary Halloween Magic Show & Costume Contest

 The Amazing Mr Awesome will be performing some family-friendly magic with a Halloween theme. Attendees should dress up yourself in a Halloween costume. The person with the best costume will be awarded a prize.
