Developer Could Solve the Boca National Golf Course Money Issue with $67.5 Million

Throughout the past couple of months, the city council has been holding meetings to see how they can negotiate the price to build the new Boca National Golf Course.

The initial proposal was turned down by the council, as they believed it could be done for much less.

However, it seems a new offer from a developer may help solve this monetary issue.

According to WPTV, Compson Boca Group(CBG) has offered to buy Ocean Strand from the Boca beach and Parks district for $67.5 million.

This is a 15-acre lot that the district had bought back in 1994.

In making the offer, CBG states that the money may be used for building the new Boca golf course and other local projects that may need funding.

The specific proposal calls for a hotel, condos, villas, and a marina.

However, the district will still be taking some time to receive feedback and weigh the options before entertaining the offer.
